Community Service

To Be Determined

After enjoying all of our fun events we believe in leaving no footprint or trace. So we would greatly appreciate volunteers to help with this effort. Also, we are beginning to make preparations for winter and our winter campers. Volunteers are eligible for free or discounted admissions to a variety of great programs, events, and camping opportunities. And as we are in the process of developing several primitive tenting campsites, volunteers would also have the option to name these sites after their family or group.  In addition to helping a very worthy cause, volunteers have time to spend the day with like-minded people while giving back to the community. A snack, tools and gloves will be provided. Please bring a water bottle and be sure to sign in so you may be invited to our Volunteer Appreciation Event.

Be a Survivor and Warrior Weekend

To Be Determined

This is a very popular program and fills up fast

This is an overnight weekend event for ladies ages ten and up. Ladies who like a challenge will have a chance to push themselves. The group will learn critical survival skills during the two-day event such as how to build a fire, meal planning and outdoor cooking with limited supplies, and constructing a shelter that can withstand the elements of the outdoors. They will learn how to compost leftover food and navigation skills such as reading trail signs and tracking various animals. Archery will also be offered during this event for an additional fee of $15. The girls will be working on a project that they will take home with them after the event to remember their weekend as a warrior at Camp Catherine.

Dinosaur Dig

To Be Determined

Cost $6.00

It is said that dinosaurs may have once roamed right here near Camp Catherine. Even though they are long gone, they leave behind the opportunity for fun activities and great learning experiences. Listen to stories about these awe-inspiring creatures and join in making crafts to take home. It is possible that we may even find a foot print or a fossil as we walk across the same ground that the dinosaurs once did.  You will have the chance to taste test and experiment with some of the plants and foods they may have eaten here in our area. Come travel back in time and bring your best dinosaur roar! Please RSVP for this event using any of our Camp Catherine contact means.
